Testimonials

“We worked with Michelle for the preparation and birth of our son in June, and her knowledge & support was indispensable! She was so personable yet professional at the same time – a perfect combination which helped us feel comfortable and confident in having her as the doula we wanted to share our first birthing journey with. Admittedly I was a little nervous at first, being a first time mom, wondering if I could count on availability of someone with their own family to take care of. Let this NOT be a worry for you! Michelle is 100% committed to her business and her clients, and unless the creek rises as they say, she will ALWAYS be there for you, whether by phone, text, or in person when it’s needed. She brings unconditional support, positive energy, and a fountain of birthing knowledge with her wherever she goes, even during those all night hours while you’re in labor waiting for progression to take place. When I was in labor, she was right there with my husband and me. My husband never once felt like she took the place of his role. She was more like a sister in how comfortable I felt with her presence in my most vulnerable of times, and that says a lot given that I’m more of a modest/soft spoke person. I could write more, but I hope this helps summarize our experience in a nutshell to help guide you in your decision as you search for your labor/postpartum support.” – Jessica Valentine

“Michelle was a pleasure to have as a part of our birth experience. She took the time to communicate beforehand to address what we were hoping for in our labor and partnered with us in prayer and support. Her calm and kind nature added to the atmosphere of peacefulness and her suggestions helped tremendously when it was time to make decisions. We were so grateful to have her as our doula at the birth of our son!” – Corynne Zavoda

“Michelle has been such a tremendous comfort at my children’s births. She always had a wonderful way of making me feel at ease with a well timed joke. She has a depth, maturity, a great sense of humor, and wisdom. She has known instinctively when I needed encouragement or rest or nourishment or movement and she fully honored my vision for labor and birth. All of my births were joyous and her serving presence was an integral part. Highly recommend!” – Julie Ludlum

Re: Childbirth Education Class – “I recommend this class to everyone who is expecting. Michelle’s way of explaining things is so professional and, at the same time, you feel like if you were talking to a friend, I always felt comfortable and didn’t feel the need to hold back on questions because I knew that it was a safe space. We really liked how Michelle gives her honest unbiased opinion, she doesn’t make you feel like one way of giving birth is better than the other, she makes sure to give you all the information that you need, and then some, for you to be able to decide what’s the best way for you to give birth.” – Maria Casar Garcia

Re: Childbirth Education Class – “I took Beloved Doula’s class with Michelle in my third trimester of my first pregnancy. Going into the class, I knew very little about what to expect during labor and delivery. The course is designed to fill that knowledge gap, eliminating common fears and misconceptions, and instilling the confidence that no matter what turns your path takes, you are prepared and equipped. Michelle makes the course fun, includes your partner if they are available, and has such a calming pleasant tone to her voice that makes her the perfect doula. I am at the end of my pregnancy now and feel ready thanks to Michelle and Beloved Doula Services. Highly recommend!!” – Rainbow Woodall
